I have been reading various reports by people who have encountered Advantange Capital and their corrupt cronies. The details of what happened to me are similar or identical to the wrongful acts which I experienced, and thus will not be repeated here. What I would like to do is focus on potential remedies, not just for me but for everyone. First, what I think will not work is the use of state small claims courts, unless a person lives or goes to Florida to pursue Hartford Auto Club or Nevada to pursue Advantage Capital. The probem with using state courts in states other than where these orgaizations have assests is that once you recover a judgment, say in North Dakota, you still have to go to Nevada or Florida to enforce it. Moreover, it is likely that you would have to have the judgement validated by a court in each of those states before the companies' bank accounts could be attached. What I think may work are several avenues of possible approach. First, there may be state and federal regulatory and enforcement agencies who would be willing to become involved.initially, I contacted the Colorado Attorney general's office and was referred to the United States Controller of the Currency. Although I got little help from the COC office, I am not sure I exhausted all the possibilities. A more productive approach would be to contact state attorney general's offices in Nevada and Florida. Also, it may be productive to contact the United States Attorney offices for the Southern District of Florida (Miami) and the District of Nevada. I am planning on making those calls either today or tomorrow.
