I discovered on my December Statement that I had several amounts that were charged to my Debit Card. I went to the bank after doing research on consumer complaints feeling confident that I would not be given a hard time.
I went to the Bookkeeping Department to report the matter at hand and talked with the lady at the counter and she immediately asked for my card telling me she would have to cancel it. She then brought out several forms for me to fill out telling me I would have to fill one out for each charge. I sat in the Bookkeeping Department for at least 45 minutes filling these forms out and when I was finished the same lady came back and took them from me telling me after talking to another lady that it would be after the 1st of the year.
It has now been 1 month and no one has done anything about this matter—other than reversing the NSF charges that incurred and no one has given me the commom courtesy of at least calling me or contacting me at all!
We made the decision to change banks, but it still does not fix the problem.
This bank was one that we had done all of our business with for at least 18-20 years. It is also considered the Main Bank in town and is owned by the Gilberts... A influential family in this town.
What does someone do when you cannot receive the help you need with a matter like this? I thought they HAD to reverse what is unauthorized activity in an account? I feel like I did my part by reporting it, but I do not appreciate them overlooking the matter!
