I purchased a policy from my local AFLAC agent and explained to him that I had a pre-existing condition that may or may not require surgery in the future. He wrote up the policy on his lap top and as I have a witness, to the disclosure of the pre-existing condition. Although, in his computer, he "clicked" on "NO" for pre-existing condition which now I am told nulifies my policy and therefor I am not "covered."
They told me to put in writing the fact that I stated my pre-existing conditions and I might be able to "ammend" my PHI.
Also, I have phoned my insurance agent to ask him why he did this to me as he is the "expert". You see, I didn't get a policy right then and there. It was mailed to me over a week later. You sign you name on this computer pad and have no idea what you are signing. You do this trusting the agent.
My agent has not yet called me back. I feel he needs to make this thing right and correct the policy language that he failed to do in the first place. I will let you know how this turns out.
