I have firsthand experience with these mother *&*&s!
First and foremost, when you deal with these *&* be sure to tell your boss that you will be in court over the next few months and that you will be needing a lot of time off of work.
These predators are relentless! They will stop at nothing!
trust me! Get a GREAT lawyer - you'll need one!
Cavalry purchases " non - performing debts " for pennies on the dollar - and I do mean pennies! Then, their lawyers file in court against you, usually a month or so AFTER they have attached and/or levied your home or whatever else the bastards can get their hands on. Kind of like the IRS.
Then, they will meet with you at the courthouse and try to work out a " payment plan " with you. If this does not work the judge will set a " pre - trial " date for the two of you to have a trial by jury.
BUT, pay close attention here, while you are leaving the courthouse thinking that you have them by the *&*& they are in the judges chambers filing a " motion for summary judgment ".
Basically, you're *&*&! Soon after you will be served again BUT this time it is informing you that the judge found in their favor and you will have to pay the debt PLUS court costs AND
"... Reasonable attorney's fees ".
Now you have two options. One is to pay the mother *&*& OR file for bankruptcy. Personally, I chose door No. 2.
I would rather ruin my credit which, by the way, was already ruined, so who the *&*& cares! The day that I would pay Cavalry a dime would be the day that I sat down and had a full course meal on my feces! I wanted this guy DEAD but it wouldn't be worth going to prison for.
Here's some advice to the prey that Cavalry is now hunting for:
First, get a GREAT LAWYER - not a " good " lawyer but a GREAT one! I " couldn't afford one " so I went at it alone.
BIG MISTAKE!
Don't even think about showing up in court without representation. The *&*& judges HATE THIS! I swear that I would have beaten these guys if I only had brought a GREAT lawyer with me! You can"t afford not to have one!
second, get rid of joint accounts! It will destroy you! After their done with you they will move on to your other half.
Third, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER co-sign a loan or a credit card! This is FINANCIAL SUICIDE!
Fourth, put your ASSets into areas that cannot be touched! Realty trusts, etc. Talk to your GREAT lawyer about it. Cavalry will take the equity out of your home!
If all else fails, file bankruptcy. Believe me, it's not as bad as you may think. Check your state bankruptcy laws versus the federal laws to see which one to file. My GREAT attorney only charged me $500.00 (five hundred dollars) for this service and it was easier than going to register my car! I'm as serious as a heart attack here! It's True!

And remember, pay back is a bitch! What goes around eventually
will come around! DON'T GIVE UP!
