Paypal / ebay says ok for sellers to not disclose damage and keep deposit.
Bought a truck on ebay (have over 1500 transactions at ebay and 1200 at payPAl.) Rode with My brother 2 hrs to closest airport to fly to pick up the truck. Arrived to find undisclosed damage to the truck (IE BURN HOLES IN SEATS AND CARPETS AS WELL AS STAINS ON CARPETS AND SEATS AS WELL AS MISSING DASH SWITCH COVERS AND DAMAGE TO THE GRILLE) I refused the truck and the seller said no problem since they had a bunch of other people who wanted it. Told her shed have to refund the deposit of 500 dollars she said NO PROBLEM. Bought a ticket to go back and then had to arrange someone to take Me back home 2 hrs away. Filed w PayPAl and escalated to a claim. When I escalated and clicked the next page said page unavailable. Called paypal and told them the text ws missing PayPAl employee told me no problem they had enough information and would be contacting me while resolving. THEY NEVER CONTACTED ME and decided the truck was properly disclosed. When I went thru the steps to close My acct a new ph number appeared empl said file an appeal. She sent Me an email telling Me the email address to send the appeal to. 2 days later response from PayPal is theres no such appeal available. CLOSED ACCT TODAY Paypal changed from charging my debit card where I could appeal thru visa to reverse to direct withdrawl from bank acct without My permission. Filing in small claims against seler and paypal. Just a tip if there was a transaction thru paypal at your bank you can file small claims in your county where the bank is located.
