Greetings, I NEARLY FELL for this scam. This seems to be a newly added scam company as I have not read anything about them YET. They are called "Fairmont Investment Group" Basically they pull the same kind of scam as the rest of these financial investment groups. I was applying for loans a few weeks ago and a few days ago a man named "Tom Riley" called me to inform me I was fully approved for a $50,000 loan and all they needed was 10 months upfront to secure the loan with the private lender. The amount they wanted was $4,900.in which they wanted wired via MONEYGRAM (always a red flag) They faxed over "legit" looking documents and I signed them and faxed them back.
When they requested that I send my money to "Theresa Ryan" AND "Valerie Evans" in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada I became extremely skeptical because years ago I was ripped off via MONEYGRAM on eBay, so right then and there I knew this was'nt going to happen so I started to ask a bunch of questions and Tom tried to convince me that they would be responsible if I sent the money and they did'nt get it I would STILL recieved the $50k direct deposited into my bank account within 6 hours. He even went as far as to assure me that "People have CRIED TO HIM because they were so thankful for getting these loans" That was another red flag. Then he forwarded me to some other "department" trying to act all professional and have me talk to another guy named "Brian" who gave me the moneygram informnation. He kept assuring me that Theresa and Valerie were going to come thru and pick up the funds and everything would be fine. He even went as far as telling me how long they both worked for the company, which did'nt add up.
It's extremely sad that people would actually go this far to steal vulnerable peoples money, so sad.in the end they wanted me to moneygram close to $5k to people in Canada, and the funny thing is Tom had such a hardcore Canadian accent, you will KNOW he is from Canada if he calls you, I kept asking if he was really in Sarasota. I know he is'nt and I know they are'nt. This is just sad, stay away from fairmont investment group and spread the word. DON'T FALL FOR ANYTHING THAT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.
