Holding Debit transactions for nearly a week! What a freaking RIPOFF!

This by far is the absolute WORSE bank I have ever encounted. How in the HELL do you hold a debit transaction for nearly a week?!! I have asked them numerous time about this. And the only answer I get: "the merchant has to request the payment:! If the merchant is swipping my card, I would imagine that want their money RIGHT NOW, not a week down the road. So with them holding debit transactions for a week, they have caused my account to be overdrawn and then on top of that, they want to slap $36 for NSF when the money was in the account to take out!

Once again I asked them, if I am using my DEBIT card, the money should automaticlly DEBIT from the account. I can understand maybe taking one or two days to take the money out if I was using CREDIT, but a week for a DEBIT is freaking ridiulous.

I also inquired to know why the website does not showing pending transactions for accounts. The rep told me this. And this ($% is funny: We dont offer that service at this time and it's something we're looking into. So let me get this straight, you're a Finiancial Institute with a crap load of customer, who I'm sure would like to know their pending transactions, and you're telling me thats a service that's not offered? WHY IN THE HELL DO YOU HAVE ONLINE BANKING IF CUSTOMERS CANT CHECK EVERYTHING SINGLE THING ABOUT THEIR ACCOUNT?!!

As far as im concerned, this bank can rot in the darkest part of hell.
