I was looking to get away from my oppressive mortgage held by HSBC, whom I do not feel comfortable with. I agreed to refinance through Oak Street Mortgage because They promised to get me away from HSBC and refinance my mortgage. They also promised if I was not satisfied, they would refinance again with a different company. So Oak Street Mortgage refinanced my house for me. Then after they made their money from me, they turned around and sold my loan RIGHT BACK TO HSBC.
I complained to them about it and all of a sudden they refuse to help, even after they promised otherwise. They don't care that I am now stuck with the same oppressive mortgage company, as long as they have their money. This should be illegal.
Yes I know they are a LLC, but come on! Shouldn't these broker companies LEGALLY HAVE TO BE more responsible? This is my HOUSE, where I am trying to raise my kids. We live in this house. Now Oak Street Mortgage, instead of delivering on their promise to get our house away from the oppressive mortgage company, they not only sell it right back to the same company knowing DAMN WELL that we were trying to get away from HSBC, but they have caused us to be literally STUCK with HSBC. Because now all of our equity is used up.
This is an outrage.
