Okay i know amc or americrap has ripped off a whole lot of people but im a little confused. First let me tell you our story. We refinanced with americrap because i was in nursing school and i had to cut my hours to finish because thats how it works. Well we were in need of getting rid of some credit cards and a few other things to help us out we were also in the middle of a remodle which didn't get finished because the contrator bailed on us and so we talked to some lady named hannah at ameriquest.
Took about 15min to gather our info and she would call us back. She did. The next day we closed. Thought we did great. Didn't know we had just got scamed until we received a letter from ameriquest stating our intrest rate was going up okay but we had a fixed rate!!! I do belive that the closing was only about 30min because the office people had to be some where. When we got the news that ameriquest was raising our apr we started to look closer our appraisal on our house. We we first bought it was only 89,900 now it is 35,000.00 more because the appraisal person added stuff to our house that we don't have and compaired it to much bigger houses and the guy that appraised is from cleveland.
Go figure. Anyway what im confused about is who is actually winning on this class action law suit. Seems to me americrap is because the people who went that way with this lawsuit are only going to get about 350.00 and still won't be able to get out from under americrap because now they are protected and people are still not going to be able to refi with someone else. We have not received anything reguarding this. However we are working with a great lady out of washington.
