At the end of the billing cycle for May (May 18), The GM Card assessed my credit report and automatically lowered my line of credit to a limit that would be exceeded on my very next purchase. A letter of the credit line dropping was recieved by myself 10 days after the billing cycle.
The GM Card Company knew my charging history and that I would exceed my limit very soon. I usually do not carry a balance on this card but revenue for my business has been low. I talked Natosha (cust care supervisor) into removing the $29 dollar fee (which it was never removed). I'm curious to see if this is a common business practice for this company and how they can get away with this.
I'm just one fish in the sea and $29 won't break me nor will it make The GM Card Co. Rich but if this is done to enough customers a year then this produces a very high revenue for them. This kind of stuff needs to be stopped.
