Ok. Received the first letter in June addressed to my married name, which was changed 10 years ago. I immediately sent them a certified letter, disputing the collection, requesting that they send me the name, address, and account number of the creditor.
I filed a claim with the FTC and the US Postal Service and sent a letter to the Attorney General, State of Florida. I have frozen all 3 of my credit reports, and yet they have made another inquiry into my Experian report on August. I called Experian, and they said if a creditor BELIEVES the debt is valid they will continue to view my report.
Any suggestions, This is NOT a valid debt. How do I STOP these people?
