In about October I decided to try and settle my debts with Future Financial. It sounded too good to be true (which now I know it was!)
After signing on a car loan for my Ex boyfriend and having it repossessed owcing 8000 dollars and being in two expensive car accidents I felt I had no other option. Future Financial made it seem possible for me to get out of debt in about 2.5 years!
I was all but promised a 37% settlement on my accounts and also led to believe that interest and late fees would not accrue once the creditors knew I was working with them. None of this was true. I ended up settling my two smallest accounts for 50%. Although I was dissapointed in this... They promised other accounts would be lower than 37%, thus bringing their "average" to 37%.
They directly withdrew every penny of their "fees" which are paid for their "services" and promptly stopped calling and answering calls. About beginning of June they stopped answering their phone completely and the answering maching was not picking up. I checked their websites - none were working... I tried to email their "contact" person and it was returned to me. Beginning July all their phone does is give a busy signal.
I do not care about the "fees" paid for the services they did provide... But I certainly want my "fees" back for my other three accounts that they did not ever settle. I NEED that money to settle the accounts myself.
