Almost scammed! Be aware!
My husband had applied online for a loan and a few weeks later a represenative, stating they were from "Pinnacle Financial Corporation" called him and told him that he was approved for a loan, but first must Western Union a Insurance Premium to them and once that was done his money would be direct depositd into his checking account 24 to 48 hrs later.
He had been speaking with an individual named Cecile Dunaway.
I became somewhat concerned that he was going thru with the process and looked up Pinnacle Finacial on the web, and called the 800 number. Not to my suprise they have been getting several calls on this same scam, they are NOT affiliated with the New York company that is doing this.
When I told my husband, he called Cecile Dunaway and expressed my concerns to her and so she called me, she stated that his funds will be deposited the next morning, I questioned her on their company and address, she assured me I had no reason for concern.
The money he was told to western union was addressed to a person in Canada to a Sara Marieiro and the person he had been deaing with was Cecile Dunaway at 866-598-3080 Ext 1. We were lucky and was able to recover his money from western union because the funds had not been picked from the part in Canada.
