Received a notice dated Jul 21 threatening to assign my "debt" to a collector. This is supposedly for a debt owed to America Online. The "debt" in question was erroneous billing on the part of AOL, was disputed via my credit card compnay and settled as not being owed by me. This all happened in April. I can't believe the audacity of this company to think that I would just write a check for something that I did not owe then and certainly do not owe now!
