Capital One left me high and dry in Omaha, NE. I have a credit card with a pretty low limit through them and I pay my bill on time every month. I desperatley needed to rent a car but needed more available funds on my card. I made a payment early in the day and requested an increased line of credit to get the car. Apparently I was not eligible for an increase but they did give me a $100 emergency increase.
Not sure how $100 bucks will get out you of any kind of real emergency but who cares. After my online payment posted (the following day) i went in to get the car. The card was still declined. Capital one informed me that the emergency funds are only available until midnight the same day issued. After speaking with 2 supervisors (whatever!!!) I was told that the emergency funds could only be granted once every 6 months, whether you use them or not. I was basically left for dead in Omaha. At what point does a company get so big that they stop caring about their customers? Well, ex-customers in this case.
