This company called me the early morning of 04/27. The employee of this company informed me that I had an already approved First Capital Mastercard for $2500., and included was $1000. Twards airline tickets. I was also informed that I had a 7 day free trial and if I was not satisfied I could cancel within a 30 day time period. Being that my credit status was slow going I agreed.
The fee for processing was $19.95 and could be done by check over the phone. After giving them my account information, I was then informed that another fee of 59.95 and 99.95 would be added to my card. After waiting for about 2 weeks the only thing I received was a packet with discounts for variuos items and details about my account but no credit card. After reading the papers I discovered that I would be charged a 99.95 annual fee to use this card. That was when I decided not to go forth with this card and I never sent the required "Acvitvation Form."
Little did I realize that the debiting process was going to continue and as of today they debited the 59.95 and 99.95 fees I thought were going to be on my card. The whole conversation went so quickly that before I knew what was happening, I now realize I had just placed myself in a vulnerable position.
