When I tried to refinance my mortgage they added high interest rates. This caused the payoff to be more than what the house appraises for therefore i can't refinance unless i come out of pocket with $10,000. The original selling price was $105,000. The payoff is 115,000 now.
In 2004 I paid over $10,000. Seems to me that should have come off the interest. I have all the paper work i received from them. The houses in this area is depreciating because so many has been foreclosed and they have started renting them out. Looks like they would settle for the $105,000 plus 4 years mortgage plus $10,000 they received. I see they rather foreclose than let it be rfinanced. When i filed
bankruptcy in 2003 my trustee suspected predatory lending then. I wish i had got out of this then.
