I have only had my account 6 months and I'm not surprised to find "rip off" reports for Lobel.
Even when I'm not late on my payments I start receiving calls from Lobel. I don't mean one or two calls. I'm talking 20 calls a day. I have never heard of a company that called you even if you were 10 days late. That usually doesn't start until 28-30 days late.
I have had their CSR's scream at me. Hang up on me only to call me right back. Accuse me of bouncing a check (my payment wasn't a check) and tell me if i'm late that I must not be able to afford it. I can afford it, but I had a hospital stay that was over two weeks long (I don't receive sick leave at work) but they didn't care about that or want to work with me.
Now, On Lobel's behalf. There is a lady there named Maria and honestly she has tried to help me, helped me with promises to pay and at least listened to my story, whereas no one else would.
I've been trying to refinance so I can get away from Lobel. If anyone knows where I can go (because ya'll know if your credit was any good you wouldn't be financed thru Lobel) to refinance I'd sure appreciate a heads up so I can get away from these people.
FYI - I can put calls from certain people on my cell phone as silent so my phone doesn't ring! Thank God for that! I save all the numbers from Lobel and place them on silent.
