I had a debt to Lobel Financial which was discharged under Chapter 7 Bankrupcy in 02-05.
In 10-08 I purchased property and am now in the process of refinancing the property for a lower interest rate and payment. The Escrow Company has discovered that Lobel placed a lien against this property. Purchased AFTER the debt to them was discharged under bankruptcy. I owe Lobel NOTHING.
The contacted by the escrow company, Lobel said I owed them $2700. I then contacted them, reminding them that I owe them NOTHING because the debt was discharged under bankruptcy.
I cannot talk to the same person twice. All are rude. This has put a halt to my refinancing, which was supposed to close last Thursday.
