On April 28 I received a call from a gentleman by the name of Derek at Receivables Performance who called around 8pm. He told me that he was with sprint PCS and would like me to resolve a debt that I owed. I agreed to resolve it, since it was my bill and I didn't want it on my credit report. I made arrangements to take $20.00 from my savings account each month on the 30th. He told me that to process it would be a $5.00 charge. I agreed to it. I heard a lot of distraction in the background too like he wasn't paying attention to what he was doing. I asked him specifically if this will be on my credit report. Derek told me no it won't since you are paying this now it will not go against my credit.
Well as I was checking my credit report, I saw them on there. Plain as day. I was very furious!!! I called and spoke to another representative there and told her what had happened. She seemed very sympathetic about the situation and offered a discount from the original debt. I had since reported them to the BBB and the FTC.org about their conduct. It's not acceptable for them to misrepresent themselves with lies and being decent like that. I can hope that others can resolve this problem with them in a class action law suit.
