We were contacted by a company called "Capital Benefit" who asked for the head of household by name. They offered him a $3,000 credit line for a $289 processing fee. They are scheduled to debit the fee directly from his checking account, but we suspect it's a fraudulent deal.
We've tried to contact the company via their toll-free number: (866) 256-9466, but are always redirected to a voice mail, even during peak business hours. He was also given a "verification #, " which I fear was just for show.
We've decided to have our names taken off of all telephone solicitation lists and to refuse to listen to any company initiated telephone spills.
We're still looking for any information about this company, but so far, we've had no luck at all with online searches. If anyone has any information about this company or has had a similar experience with "Capital Benefit, " please contact us.
