I contacted Long Beach Acceptance Corp about a week ago to make a payment because I was about 10 days past due. I post dated a check with them. Today when I looked at my bank account, and Long Beach Acceptance had taken out 2 payments! One payment I didn't even authorize. As a result of this, my bank had charged me over $250 in insufficient fund fees!
Please note that it is illegal to debit funds from one's bank account without their authorization!
I called Long Beach Acceptance and spoke with a very rude rep by the nane of Sam Krebs. He immediately said this was my fault. He said my next payment was due tomorrow and he wanted to know when I would be making the payment. I told him that was not what I was calling about. I told him he was being rude, and he said "I don't care if I'm being rude to you!" He also stated, "It's not my fault if you can't budget your money."
Sam was extremely rude and verbally abusive to me. I asked to speak with his supervisor, and he said "I am my own supervisor." I know he had someone above him, but he refused to let me speak with him.
He put me on hold and came back and said "Oh, it appears that this was our mistake and we shouldn't have taken 2 payments." He said it would be 48 hours before it would be refunded back into my account.
This is the 3rd time I have dealt with horribly rude representaives at Long Beach Acceptance. I have even written 2 formal complaint letters to them, but I doubt that it did any good.
Long Beach Acceptance is a horrible company with very rude and unprofessional employees! I would advise everyone against financing with this company!
