I decided to get my credit report from a online site called TrueCredit from TransUnion as I recently got a letter from a Collection Company called Cavalry Portfolio Services LLC asking me to pay the amount of $722.00 for a bill that I owed Sprint PCS. I never had a cell phone from Sprint in my life. Anyhow, also listed in my credit report was a company called Palisades Collection LLC.
Palisades Collection LLC on behalf of AT T Wireless put a Derogatory remark on my credit report. I have never had any correspondence from them in my life. They expect me to pay for an account that was opened on December the sum of $1458.00 for 3 month of services. That must be the 1-900 number only plan as I have never heard of a plan that cost that much.
As you can tell, I never had Wireless service from AT T Wireless as well. So, now I am in a pickle. I owe over $2100.00 in cellular services which I never signed up for or used.
Is there a way to prove that I never signed up for these services? Or am I SOL?
I would like to thank Cavalry for making me get my credit report and finding out that not only I owe them but, I owe Palisades as well but twice as much:)
I seriously don't know how the heck companies like this can continue to do business in this country. Is it that easy to rip off people here in the good ol US of A?
I hope that there is a class action lawsuite brewing somewhere as I would gladly join up.
