I dispute the validity of this debt one hundred percent. I have been dealing with your company for too long now. You say you have purchased the account from Direct Merchants. That is funny when Magnus is owned by the same company.
I paid the balance of $3605.47 on May 31. Since then I have been harassed by this company for going on two years now.in hopes to get you off my back I have sent other money. Not any more. On October 17 I paid $125 by phone that alone should have taken care of any so called late check fees or other service fees. I do not owe any more money.
I did call once to try to resolve this situation and was told there was no record of me making the payment on May 31. I was told to make a written request by mail. I did this and got no response.
I am greatly disappointed with the way your company does business. I also know I am not the only one with this problem. It seems to be common practice for Direct Merchants to never let their customers pay off their balance.
At this time I consider this matter closed and would appreciate not being contacted in reference to this non-existent account anymore.
