Bay Hill Partners
Not upfront with the truth

It seems like wherever you look, there are job opportunities that just don't sound right or sound too good to be true. I'm sure you heard the saying that if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is, this really does apply in these types of situations.

I recently went on an interview with a company called Bay Hill Partners, LLC, they are an investor relations firm in Winter Park, FL. They deal with emerging growth stocks only, representing maybe two to four companies at a time. These companies are supposed to be full reporting companies, meaning that if you researched them, they would be out in the open with all their issues such as, financial reports and the like. What they do is sell these stocks to actual stock brokers (they are NOT stock brokers and can only talk to actual stock brokers with their series seven license, per the SEC).

Well, the first thing that threw me off is the fact that they didn't have a website for me to research the day before I interviewedthis is never a good sign, trust me. Secondly, when I did go in for the interview the next day, not trusting my initial gut feeling, I was interviewed at the same time as this other girl that obviously got suckered in to wasting her time with this spectacle of a company. How many companies really part take in this type of interview?!? He then began to tell us about how easy the job was, and how we would be making $700 a week before we started actually making money from commissions (which were supposedly HUGE because all he could talk about was this new guy who made $5000 in one day and was still making serious money even though he was sick at the momenthmmm).

I was thinking this was great, I was going to make $700 a week at the beginning, no matter what, and then my income will be unlimited once I get goodI was wrong. I started to really, really question things on my first day of training where I learned what I said previously, that all the companies they represent are fully reporting and could be found on EDGAR (Edgar is a website that is only available to stock brokers that shows financial statements, ect). I happen to have access to EDGAR (through the college I graduated from) and decided to look up these companies represented by Bay Hill Partners and could only find 3 of the 4 on the websitehmmm. This is a little strange to me considering ALL companies they represent are supposedly on this website, available to at least the stock brokers who buy the stock (and people who just know how to get around barriers).

To make things worse, I found out that it was not $700 a week, it was $700 per pay period which is every two weeks (which is $350 a week). My boyfriend actually started the same day as I did and before he interviewed I made sure to bring to his attention that my interviewer, Mike, told me $700 a week, and to make sure that the information was accuratehe was told the same thing I was. The only way we found out that it wasn't the amount we were expecting is that we needed a letter to give to our new apartment complex stating our monthly income, which the receptionist typed up as $1400 a month bonuses, per person (which was supposed to be $2800 a month bonuses).

After learning what we were really going to get paid, we told the receptionist that we were told other wise and walked out. We just got done working for a company that was affiliated with Cydcor (if you have had the opportunity to introduce yourself to them you'd understand what I mean by this next statement) and we were not about to get involved with any company that had a lack of integrity like they did. If you have an interview setup with this company or whatever the case may be, make sure you ask the right questions and get all the right information, before you start.
