First of all, they took $149.00 from my account for payment to join their shopping club after the agreement stated that I would be given a 30-day Free Trial period in which I would have time to withdraw from the club before my account was to be charged.instead, they withdrew the money from my account (according to my bank statement) only a few days after I signed up.
So, I figured since they had already taken the money out, I would have to go ahead and stay in the club. I ordered $79.00 worth of merchandise on Dec. 1. It was supposed to be a buy-now-pay-later order. I was told that I wouldn't be charged until Feb. 2006 (they withdrew the shipping and handling charges from my account only a few days later). A few days after that, they charged my account for $10.00 for something (I still don't know what for), and charged my account $14.95 for a Platinum Visa credit card (that I never ordered). Since that time I have called them to find out about my order and about this so-called credit card that I'm being charged for. I never did get an answer about the credit card. I was told that my order would take 6-8 weeks to be shipped (although I had been told 4-6 weeks when I made the order). I have only received one of the items that I ordered (the least expensive one, $10.00).
And so far, they have over-drawn my account three times. I told them from the start that I was on Social Security Disability and only received $579.00 a month (out of which I have to pay all my bills... Rent, elect., phone. Etc.) at the beginning of the month.By the 6th day of the month my account has already been reduced to only a few dollars. So, I thought the arrangement was set up for them to send me a bill to let me know ahead of time that I was due on a payment or something. But, instead, they have just been withdrawing the money from my account without notifying me ahead of time!
