One day I got a call from Anthony of Solow Solutions offering me a Unsecured Visa Card with a limit of $5000! I was told that I could not use it for any cash advances for the first 90 days, since the 90 days is a probation period. Sounded great to me but then told I would have to provide $297 to get the card and it would take 30 days to mail to me.
I asked if this was a card you pay and then use what you deposit? Anthony said no it is not. I asked if the card can be used anywhere and not just at a specific store or website? He said no, it was a visa card.
We then proceed to go through the payment of the $297 fee. To make it sound and seem official, they had someone else call to confirm and confirming the number he spewed out to me prior to this call. This payment was to be taken from my bank account on Nov. 18th and my card would be mailed to me within 30 days.
A few weeks pass, I call the number I was given to confirm or get status and actually cancel this transaction. The Number I was given was some type of answering service and they had asked what number I was calling from. I said it should not matter which number I am calling from, I am trying to reach customer service! I left a message for them to call me because I felt if they new I was to cancel, they would not call me back right away. I got a call 2 days later while I was not home.
Another week passes and the fee for this card has been taken from my account. I call the number for customer service again, it clicked when it was answered and no one anwsered the phone. I called 8 times. Same result. I then called 2 days later, they confirmed that my card was mailed out on Nov. 18th, yet it is now Dec. 2nd! The lady asked, You did not get the box we sent you? I replied no, otherwise I would not be calling. She asked again if I got the box, I repeated NO I DID NOT. Can we track it for you? I said yes and she replied well you will need to sign signature forms that were mailed out to you before we can activate your card. I repeated to her, I never got any card or box. She then states that she is remailing the box and the signature forms.
I called again on Dec. 12th. Same result, same run around and asked to speak with management. Manager is busy and manager will give you the same info I have. I called on Dec. 16th, to the number listed on my bank account 866-252-4810. A man answers... Billing department? I told him I want to talk to someone about the card I was charged for with a $297 fee? He asked me 4 times, Where did you get this number? I said it should not matter where I got this number, especially if your company was paid via my bank account? Sir you need to call our customer service line.
Called on Dec. 19th. Same old story, mailed card, should have in 2 weeks. I demanded to speak to management. Management will tell you the same I am telling you sir. Can I track the package for you? Please do. Oh I am sorry sir I will not get the info from USPS for 4 days. Ms. If you do not solve this issue I have no other choice than to contact my attorney, the BBB and the FTC. Sir let me call USPS and get that tracked for you. 40 seconds pass... Sir I am sorry but I cannot get that tracking info within the next 4 days.
I called them again the same day, I demanded 10 times to speak with management, finally manager gets on the phone. I asked to have my $297 fee refunded immediately. The manager stated that that would not be possible. I again asked for a refund since I NEVER GOT A CREDIT CARD as promised. Sir I cannot help you!
If there is every a time to scam people, it is the holiday season. Solow Solutions is taking Happy out of the Holidays!
The BBB, the FBI and the FTC have been contacted in order to ensure that a disgraceful and shameless entity, like SOLOW SOLUTIONS, will never have the ability to scam another person.
