I applied for this card due to a big misunderstanding. I was supposed to be receiving a real credit card with help from my parents, and I got this first and stupidly activated it. Luckily, if you can call any of this luck, I came across several reports of people who have been scammed.
I'm going first thing Monday morning to close my checking account so they can't touch it. Then I'll attempt to cancel with the company. However, what concerns me the most is the fact that I gave them my social security number. I know this was stupid. I'm concerned they may give this to someone else or use it against me somehow even though I'm closing my bank account. What can I do?
Also, will cutting off CCA's access to my bank account harm my credit in any way? I'm new to all of this (obviously), and I'm a little concerned my credit will be dead before I can even get it started.
