Piling on late fees, overcharges, and more. Lost job and no sympathy from company!

I lost my job in May (right before Mother's Day) I was working 40hrs a week, plus bonuses and benefits when I was fired for reasons that I have been arguing with the company for the last few months (besides the fact I never received my COBRA packet from them which is part of the parting contract... I am currently in talks with a lawyer about that) My husband works full time, but we recently purchased our first home, so I also have to have a full time job (perferably with benefits because my husband's job is with his family's business)

Anyhow, I thought I could get a job quickly in the area and get my husband and I on our feet again. I worked hard to get jobs with no avail. We did have some funds saved up and tried to make sure that we didn't get behind. We did well for about 2 or 3 months (but again, I thought that I would have a job in that time) We made sure the basic necessities were paid for: the house, the utilities, and the car. One of the other things we always tried to pay as well was our CAPITAL ONE card (we also have other cards, mainly store cards but Capital One is the largest). We had consolidated many cards into one to eliminate multiple minimum payments and in the begining, we had no interest on the card. But the job didn't come. I got some temp work at random jobs but nothing that was consistant.

We talked with a credit counselor in mid August about our situation. She specifically told us to tell them that we are working with a debt counselor and she said I could either try to explain it to the credit companies or I could just let the phone ring. I tried to explain to Capital One a few times about our situation and that we are trying to get things settled and our lives back on track. They were totally condensending to me. The only job I could currently land right now is a job at a pizza joint for minimum wage. This will be the first time since August that I could land 30hrs a week. I went from like $10 an hour to $6 and I've only been averaging 20hrs a week. The husband is working full time, going to school full time and has now had to try and fit in another 15hrs of delivering for the same pizza place. I gave up answering the phone but they call up to 6 times EVERY DAY! It's nonstop from 8:00am to 9:00pm and frankly I am sick of them! I have tried to give them the information but they refuse to let me talk to a supervisor and give them my info.

I am sick and tired of all of it.in order to get these guys off my back, I need to be making the same hours and money per hour that I was making before. I'm lost in a sea of debt and there is no way out right now, except to win the lottery.
