I was a client of NRB for almost three years. I was on the verge of bankruptcy and contracted with them to resolve my credit card debt. I was promised full settlement by Christmas 2006. Less than a year in to the program, one of my creditors secured a judgment against me because of NRB's bungling and procrastination. I just recently settled the debt for more than I originally owed, but no other settlement company would touch me with a ten-foot pole before now. While I have written NRB telling them they were incompetent morons and outlined how much I am owed, they have failed to return the money I still have on deposit, $2604.08. Their favourite trick w / certified letters is to simply not pick them up at the post office. I still have the two largest credit card balances to settle, and will be switching to another company with a satisfactory rating from the Better Business Bureau. When you are getting nasty phone calls from bill collectors daily any help looks like a God-send, but check out who you are considering doing business with. I wish I had. If I had gone with a more reputable company, I'd be nearly out of debt by now. NRB owes me $2604.08.
