A couple of weeks ago I recieved a letter in the mail for a pre-approved Capitol Choice credit card. It said I was approved for a $5,000 line of credit with no intrest for 12 months, and after that only 6.9% with no annual fee.
I should of known then it was too good to be true. I get a "pre-approved" card application in the mail every other day so I guess I thought this just sounded like a good deal. I myself am 18 yrs. Old and wanted a credit card to help with the cost of books, ect. For college.
For someone whose never had a car loan or credit card before, you know it is hard to find a bank that will give you one without making you pay an arm and a leg for one. Anyway, I sent in for my "credit card" 2-20-02 with the $43 for rush delivery. Today (3-6-02) I got to thinking about it and pulled out the certificate the had been sent with the application.
After noticing there was no telephone number I became curious and logged on to the net. Sure enough, this site was the first thing that popped up. I just want to others -CHECK THESE BANKS OUT before giving them your money. I learned the hard way.
