On July 1, I deposited my monthly paycheck as cash into my checking account with Wachovia Bank, in the amount of $4208.51, on top of an existing balance of $94.58. My employer's payroll account is also with the same bank.
I returned to my office and checked my account balance online through your bank's web site. It confirmed that the deposit was made and the balance was available. Less than 30 minutes after that, my wife went to the same branch and cashed a check for $900 drawn on my account. This was also confirmed online.
Over the course of the next 3 days, I made 4 debit card charges, totaling $203.50. It would not have been possible for a $900 check to be cashed and $203.50 in debit card charges to be honored if the funds were not credited to my account yet.
It appears as though my banking activity statement has been revised by the bank retroactively in order to assess fees that are not applicable. I believe these fees to be entirely unwarranted, unconscionable, and in fact fraudulent.
