Teleten marketing is somewhat similar to a Boiler Room. Our Company had came across teleten's website on January of the site was promising, so the office manager tried to inquire price, and quality control procedures. However, it should have been a RED FLAG when Jerome Haynes from the sales department called 7-8 times a day after the inquired phone call for a week trying to strike a deal. Once a contract was signed, Jerome had scheduled a FedEx driver to pick up the company's check within 1 hour. That's were we had officially become a victim. The following is a schedule of events:
Jan 20th: Contract was signed for 40 8 bonus leads for $1600; check was required to be sent Priority Overnight.
Jan 25th: 1st lead was faxed: After countless phone calls, the customer never picked up the phone to discuss their interest.
Feb 1st: Lead # 2 & 3 was faxed. One lead had the wrong address; the other denied having any interest for a mortgage loan.
Feb 14th: Two weeks has elapsed without any leads, the office manager made a phone call to Jerome regarding this concern. However, Jerome was nowhere to be found. Therefore, Sheila at ext. 238 was assigned to acknowledge our issue. She promised to re-launch the company's campaign.
Feb 15: Lead # 4 (our last lead), was faxed over, this customer had picked up the phone and demanded to have the best possible loan done for at no cost. No escrow, no lender fees, no broker fees.
Our company was promised to receive 2 leads per business day. Not only the leads are illegitimate, Teleten did meet their contractual agreement with Golden Gate Mortgage. Teleten's policy states to attempt to correct issues first, then assign refunds. Once the attempt to correct the issue failed, the company did not respond to any voice messages sent over the last four and half months. Jerome, Sheila, and Mr. Lee (Supervisor) are supposedly always gone for the day, away from their desk, or on vacation. There are many other websites that have numerous complaints for the same mistreatment and misrepresentation from mortgage brokers, and I surprised this company is still conducting business.
