If your auto dealer tries to finance you through United Auto Credit, please think twice. They are no better than mafia loan sharks with their ILLEGAL collection practices.
For example:
You are ONE DAY late. They will begin harassing you at home or work. If you tell them to stop calling you at work. They will continue to call. ILLEGAL.
IF you are 3 days late or God forbid you are unavailable to return a phone call IMMEDIATELY, they will begin to contact EVERYONE you know to locate you. They will also tell these people that you are a deadbeat, you owe money, etc. ILLEGAL and a complete violation of the truth in lending act.
They will go as far as to contact people not on your REFERENCE list to try to contact people on the REFERENCE list. ILLEGAL.
If you are late on a payment they will demand you pawn your property, take out a pay day loan, borrow from your family.
They consider anything 9 days or more late-actually 30 days late and will threaten Repo.
They will show up IN PERSON to your home or job. ILLEGAL.
They will call you repeadidly and swear at you, harass you, berate you.
They will refuse to provide a annual statement as to the accounting of what you may owe.
They will slap you with a REDICULOUS interest rate.
They will conduct conversations with you then LIE and say they never happened even if you document the call.
All I am saying is BEWARE.
I think Don Corelone had more integrity than UACC.
