Cross country bank has done the same thing to me: bad customer service, fees that do not apply, taking money out of my checking account electronically, and adding additional fees at any time!
(beware - they charge you for using the customer service line - even if it is the 800 number!!!)
I am starting a complaint to the federal reserve (1-800-526-2028) this is from an article i read in the newsweek aug 1999 issue in 'focus on money'. I had some serious issues with another company (iwill not name) and as soon as i mentioned the federal reserve - i got action. I want to close this bank down! I want my account closed.
I made a purchase of less than $50.00 and my account is over $350.00 in fees alone! I have made payments and the balance will not go down!
If you have the same problems - please file your own rip off report and then contact this number 1-800-526-2028 and file a complaint against cross country bank with the federal reserve - don't let them rip you off!!!
