Complaint / Review
Primerica
Very deceptive

I want to first thank everyone who has posted here about what happened to them regarding this company. I too, almost fell victim.

I recieved a call last night from a man who said one of his regional managers gave him my resume. He said I sent in my resume to an ad in the local paper about a month ago, and was reading from the cover letter and resume. He said they were looking to hire managers for the branch office they were getting ready to open in "my neck of the woods". (He never mentioned where exactly.)

He told me he would explain a little bit about this opportunity, and if I was interested, we would set up an interview. He told me this was a great opportunity to make some good part-time income; work 15-20 hours and make $300-$500, or I could work full-time and make up to 100,000k. He told me he was the VP of something or another, and owner.

He told me I needed no financial background, and noticed I had a very diversified background, and that extensive training would be available. He never mentioned a company name.

He then mentioned that they did interviews on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, and that interviews lasted about 40 minutes. He then mentioned a seminar on Saturday morning. He told me that reps from all over the country were flying in because he had the number one branch office in the U.S. He also mentioned seminars on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

He asked if I would like to attend the 90 minute seminar. I said I couldn't. He then wanted to set up a one-on-one interview for next week. He then mentioned his wife had just had a baby, and was his office manager, and she was looking to spend more time at home, so maybe I would be interested in that position as well (which I have experience with, but no financial background). I went ahead and set up the interview. He gave me his office number in case anything came up.

Still no mention of a company name. This morning, I got on the internet to look up the phone number he gave (the number on my caller id was different), and found Primerica. Never having heard of them, I did a search.

Imagine my surprise to come across this site and all the postings! I definately will not be going on the interview, and want to again thank everyone who took the time to post what had happened to them. I was amazed at what the postings said and how similar it was to what was said to me over the phone last night!
