ARS - American Recovery Systems
Ripoff, unauthorized withdrawls form accounts

ARS is a total rip off! They know that they have you hooked in because you owe them money if they are collecting on you, and they abuse this power greatly.

I have them collectingg on a credit card that I owed money on. I spoke to the representative who is in charge of my account with them, and we agreed to have a $200 charge withdrawn from an account with them in the middle of the month. The rep recorded in her notes that we agreed on the 1st of the month. When my rent check went in, and their withdrawl too, I went negative on my account. Now that I went negative, my account "gains" a $6 charge DAILY for being overdrawn (see usacomplaints.com about National City Bank).

When I contacted the company, the rep was not there, so I apoke to her "supervisor" who said she couldn't do anything until the rep got back to work (why is she a supervisor then?). When I asked what the rep could do that the supervisor could not, there was no real answer. The supervisor told me that they could not put the money back into the account, since it is owed funds, even if it was against our verbal agreement.

I called the bank to freeze the account, and they could not, so it will sit until pay day, growing $6 indebt EVERYDAY.

When I called ARS back to ask about what they could do, i was sent to voicemail twice. The third time, the man I spoke to told me that since I already called them once today about the problem, that I would have to wait to talk to the original rep the next day (but I work all day), and that he didn't know about my account, and he WASN'T EVEN GOING TO PULL UP THE INFO ON MY FILE TO HELP. He then told me to call back, and hung up the phone on me.

These people are predatory to say the least. They have no regard for the agreements they set with those collected on, and are not willing to help fix the problems that this creates, either. They owe me for the overdraft fees and all of the $6 daily charges.
