In August I was forced to refinanced my home with Ameriquest. They charged me $11,000 in fees and 9.85% interest. They stated my loan would be a fixed rate and when we closed, it was not. They promised to refinance us with a better rate after three months and failed to do so when we confronted them about it.
We were forced into bankruptcy due to a con artist with a felony record and now Ameriquest wants our home. They started foreclosure with no warning to us and failed to adhere to ANY arrangements they made with us. All individuals I have personally spoken with have been rude, insensitive and unprofessional.
The office we closed our loan in was shut down due to fraudulent activity 2-3 weeks after our loan closed. We are now stuck with $3,000 in attorneys fees, foreclosure costs and owe them $7,000 by 3/31/05 or they will be taking our home of 18-1/2 years away from us.
Ameriquest professes to be able to "pay off high interest credit cards" and "get cash for whatever you need"??? Well sure, if you want another outrageous interest rate loan to do it with.
Please STOP this crazy outfit from causing any further devastation to other consumers the way they have to us. We feel financially RAPED by Ameriquest and no on else on earth should ever feel this way about a company that claims to want to help consumers in trouble. Their television advertising is the biggest joke ever written.
