Chase Payment Protector Plan Wilmington Delaware

In about Nov. 2004 I noticed a deduction from my Chase credit card for some type of Payment Protector Plan. It had been going on for about 4 months. I should have noticed early. I DID NOT sign up for this. I called Chase and they were able to cancel the payment AFTER another the current billing cycle. I told them that I had not signed up and they said we will transfer you to the Protector plan department. These wonderful (actually very friendly) people told me that they would need 1 to 2 months to investigate if I had or had not signed up.

But usually they said it would take much less time. I called back the first week in January to see the status. I was informed that the request to do this research had been lost and would I mind waiting a little longer for them to discover if I had signed up or it was a mistake. When I complained, that was would be filling paper work with the attorney general of NC that a fraud had been committed against me they said it could be moved up. I told them I would give them a week, which brought the entire time line to about 9, or 10 weeks.

The next week on my call to them they said they had determined I should never have been signed up and in 1 to 2 billing cycles the entire about of money would be refunded.in fact, the supervisor I talked with said she was immediately crediting my account with 2 payments worth or about $95 or so. She said check back on 3/18/05 and it would all be on my account.

I called yesterday and was told they the supervisor had made a mistake in the procedure used to refund money and I needed to go back to the Payment Protector Plan people to start over. Mind you now approximately 4.5 months (I am an engineer) have lapsed and the process needs to start over.

The individual that I talked with last time said it had to go back to Payment Protector and that was it. He was a supervisor as I had requested and one of the few people I thought was rude. I will give the Chase people credit, they have been some of the most polite people that I have every talked with, with the exception of the last one.

I did not go back to the Payment Protector Plan depart. But sent an Email comment to Chase. I am supposed to receive a reply within 24 hours. I have not idea what to expect.

I fell that the service I have received from them has been horrible. I now do all my credit card purchase with my GM Card and had no trouble with that card.

I have an engineering degree and a licensee to practice but do not seem to have the skill set to get thru to Chase. I wish that I had a detail log of all the people I have talked with and the promises they have made. I assumed, we know what assume will do for you, that it would be handled with speed and a desire on their part to do the correct thing.

I am curious what the email will say. I am sure that a person with less of a skill set and less age would have gotten even less response from them, if it is possible to get less response.in my humble opinion, they have a process to prevent the return of my money from those that did not sign up. If they correct this, I am obligated to post that information here. Thanks for listening to me rant
