I recently obtained a mortgage. For 5 months I dealt with the broker. We had many conversations, I mailed and faxed all the neccassary paper work, discussed the terms I wanted. Knowing I had a bad mark on my credit report it was discussed in detail that I woud not pay the debt.
The State of Florida says my ex husband is reponsible for this debt. I clearly stated to this man I would not pay it and if I was told I had to get this loan the deal would be off. The broker said to send a copy of the divorce papers stating my ex was reponsible.
I faxed a copy to the broker and received a call from him a couple of days later saying I didn't have to pay the debt to obtain the loan. Well on closing day I signed for a certain amount of money to be paid to me. T
He checks came 3 days later. One to me and one to the credit card company. I have been fighting now to get my money back and the broker has yet to return my calls. I did find out the title company has a different set of papers with different figures and a pay out to the credit card company. My set has no pay out to the credit card company and a different set of figures.
The man intentionally lied to me to get my business. Now I'm in a battle to prove he did and get my money.
