Collusion lies deceit broken promises Ripoff

Michelle Gambroni of Novastar called my husband Travis early in November about refinancing our home. Several days later she gets in touch with me & tells me that around Nov. 20th this loan was approved and final docs would be ready for signature on Dec. 10th. We were going to pay off ur truck and I told her that a payment was due. She told me not to worry about it, that they would take care if it. They did not. Michelle went on vacation and dumped our file on someone else who was subsequently fired. Novastar fired the wrong person.

In the meantime, I got repeated threatening phone calls from Arcadia Financial who we financed our truck through. A letter was written to them stating that the loan was to be paid off by Dec. 17th. The calls still kept coming.

We are now on the hook for late fees for two truck payments and one mortgage payment.in addition to that, the mortgage company charged us $60 for the title company to call for a payoff. Both the finance company as well as the mortgage company reported us as late to the credit bureaus. I have never been late with truck payments or mortgage payments until now. We also had to pay $350 for an appraisal fee.

We have had nothing but lies and denials from day one. When I confronted Novastar about the original signing date they denied knowing anything about it. Every person I talked to regarding this matter passed the buck to someone else. Nobody would answer my questions. When I questioned their competence, I was duly brushed off. Every time I brought up paying my mortgage and truck payments I was told not to worry about it, they were handling it. Or, I just got voice mail and unreturned phone calls.

Finally, on Dec. 23rd we went to the title company to sign loan docs and get a copy of their bogus fees which did not come anywhere close to their "Bad Faith Estimate". We were told at that time that there was a $5500 prepayment penalty fee was due. We were never informed of this at any time during the loan process. The three day cancel period was up on the 23rd. I went home that night and wrote a check for my mortgage payment and 2 truck payments. My Christmas was ruined and I am now flat broke with bills to pay and no money to pay them!

I received a phone call from Michelle Giambroni on Jan. 4th. She gave me a 1 800 number to call her back - the number was boghs. She also told me she would write a letter to the mortgage and finance companies to restore our credit and call me back the next day. She never did write the letter and didn't call me back. My husband went to their office on Jan. 10th and found it empty. They moved and didn't inform us as to their whereabouts.

I did some digging and got the number for the branch manager at Novastar. His name is Eric Hensley, (702) 265-5432. I placed a call to him but he was "in a meeting" and I was transferred to his voice mail.

What do I do now? These bottom feeders should be held accountable for their actions. I've written letters and made phone calls but nobody wants to help. All I get is "Gee, I'm sorry lady about your bad luck".

Any help you could provide me with would be greatly appreciated.
