Consumer Aka Encore Financial Resource And Multi-Media Sources CROOKS! Rip-off!

10/6 Got call from Financial Resources, and offer sounded good, as I thought I needed help to restablish credit. Advised them to hold request until later, as couldn't afford deduct until later. "o.K."! Was response, and told to call on Oct. 4th to verify. But already knew too late, as had overdraft the very next day. (Also, should have checked for "ripoffs", but was unaware of same.)

Then the real problems started... For over 2 months I could not "sign in" to their site, and know now due to using address vs. Sidebar line. This however, took more than 20 phone calls, and I might add, to different numbers each time. The 800 # on their registration page does not work. Finally got someome who then gave me another number and so on, and so on, and so on.

To add insult to injury, got signed on to their sight, but could not get "registered" as rejected my phone number???!!! However, "they" had my number and everything else, and I had to speak with about as many agents, each with a different line.

Finally, after checking further, and seeing a newspaper article in St. Petersburg paper re: same company, realized that I indeed did not need a 3rd party to get credit cards. If I could pay them $199.95 I could pay a "secured credit card company" the same, and have a card to boot. Decided I was "fed up" with their runaround, and when called this time was advised by gentleman that he could "reset" my phone #. Told him not to bother, as was cancelling. It was downhill even further from there! Every agent gave me a different line, up until Nov. When was advised that they had received my letter with copy of my cancelled check to Consumer Financial, and that the "research" department was working on situation.

Again, more phone calls, until Dec. 30th, only to find out no refund being issued. They would have me "fill out" info for "them" to try to get the credit card (s), since I couldn't get "signed on"."Only after 3 rejections from the credit card companies they do business with, would they consider a refund." By this time, I almost forgot that I'm am a "lady" and told them I'd try myself, and for them to reset my phone # so that I might proceed. They informed me that they would send me forms anyway. I have to "cool down" before I even think about getting hooked up with them over the internet again, so stay tuned, and I'll let you know what happens.
