Sallie Mae
Conceals Information - Govt/Private Student Loans

Yesterday, while going through some paperwork, I found a document from Citibank with the balance I owed before they sold my loan to Sallie Mae in 2011. After nearly two years of approx. $500 monthly payments, the balance has gone UP. When I tried to find information on the effect of each payment on the balance, all I got was a transaction history with each payment's application to principle and interst. There is no previous balance amount, or even the original loan amount when Sallie Mae took it over from Citibank. After a thirty - minute snow job — no answer to my question — a managwr told me that information is "restricted."

Why, unless they are stealing, would they not disclose the effect of a payment on the balance of the loan? How did my balance go up after nearly two years of $500 payments, some of which, according to the transaction history, does go to principle. They MUST BE STEALING! What other reason for concealing this could there be?
