Re: bad business practices

Having been a TD client for a couple of years, I decided to move my portfolio (ACAT transfer) to another Brokerage with more favorable terms. Accordingly, I placed a transfer request with the new brokers and they submitted it to TD about 10 days' ago.
1. TD immediately rejected the transfer since there were Open orders in my TD Account.
2. They then went ahead and cancelled the open orders (so the ACAT could be done) but did not notify me nor the other brokers.
3. They also locked my account from further trading (which is normal).
4. However, they also blocked me from being able to view the account, view how and when the transfers were taking place etc.
5. I called TD and I was informed that usually viewing access is also blocked but the gentleman I spoke to realized that trading and transactions were automatically blocked by the system during a trabsfer so he could not see why I should also be blocked from merely viewing and monitoring the transfer.
6. This morning I was locked out again and this time a Supervisor insisted that (a) I should not have been allowed to view my account and (b) even though there is no harm from merely viewing the account, he would not allow it and (c) he agreed that all trading and transactions aotomatically cease but viewing also has to cease.
7. When I moved my account from Fidelity to TD - all that happened was that trading & transactions were blocked but I could view the account as the transfers occurred.
8. TD makes it as difficult as possible for someone to move their account out to another broker.
