In the Fall of 2004 I became concerned with the way Monogram Bank was handling my JC Penney credit card and cancelled the account and submitted full payment of 219.64.in November they returned the check claiming it was made out incorrectly. I called them and they insisted they could not cash the check.
I then made out a second check for the same amount and mailed it. Monogram cashed it.in December Monogram electronically withdrew the same amount from my Wachovia bank account using the number of the destroyed check, a SECOND 219.64.
