I receceived a letter from Cross Country Bank of a Special Holiday Increase of $500.00 I was a little tight around Christmas and I needed the extra money. Of course I knew out of the $500 they were going to charge me a $100, because I know they are nothing more than a legal loan shark out fit in Boca Raton, Florida.
I keyed on the part of the letter which stated "Use one of the attached Cash Advanced Checks and we will automatically process your credit line increase". Well I did use one for $100 at Walmart and two weeks later was notified the check bounced costing me the $100 plus $25 Check Fee, When I got my monthly statement from Cross Country Bank, they had not gave me the credit increase but charged me a $30 return check fee.
This of course put me over my limit and then they charged me another $30. Well I was fuming at this time and wrote a letter to Cross Country Bank, because they do not have a 1-800 # or do they handle disputes over the telephone. I sent the certified letter out and received a reply after Jan 19 from Meryl Beard from Customer Service Department that all the fees assessed to my account are valid with the credit card agreement.
Well all I can say to Cross Country Bank is that they can pack sand, before they get another dollar from me!!! Larry in Arizona
