Last year they did not cancel my credit card account when I requested them to do so. I ended up paying an extra 20 dollars because of this - annual fees for an account I had thought I had already cancelled. The lesson there is to be sure to get some kind of verification for the cancellation request.
Now I want to cancel again and they put me on hold, then I waited 25 minutes on my cell for them to answer until I gave up and ended the call. Then I tried to call later (twice so far) and I could not get through and the phone kept dialing and no one answered. It was very strange and I had never gone through this kind of situation before. Maybe this is a new technology that really bad companies use? It was like they had some kind of call sorting system to actually get rid of the calls they did not want to deal with.
