I bought Furniture from City Furniture.
I tried to dispute the charge by sending two letters and pictures of damaged furniture to GE Capital who finance this purchase.
While waiting for response to second letter witch I sent
on October 21, I received statement with finance charge 384.69 on unpaid balance $400 witch was due on 01/17/02.
The reason I didn't pay - amount was in dispute. I just call to GE Capital and they told me that they didn't receive any letter and pictures and case is closed. But I called two weeks ago when payment wasn't due and they told me that dispute in process and I should received the letter duaring one or two weeks.
So finally 3 month I am waiting for decision and today was told that I don't have any dispute in process and I have to pay finance charge almost 100% on owned amount.
I am sure they disposed my letter and picture and now trying to punished me with ridicules fine.
Please advise me what I should do in this matter.
Best regards,
