Debbie paaren took money and did nothing

I hired FSSS to help modify my loan on July 02. I gave Debbie Paaren a cashiers check for $2,500 with the promise of getting my loan midified in 30 to 90 days. I emailed them and called them with hardly any responce. I requested my money back as instructed by Danijela Mikulic by fax and then about 2 weeks later i recieved a letter in the mail stating they were bankrupt. If anyone has any idea how to help please let me know.
