I went to Fantastic Sam"s on Altamont Ave in Schenectady NY. I spoke with Katy before I even sat in the chair. I told her exactly what I wanted. 1 1/2 to 2 inches off the bottom... Just a trim. I wanted it to be even... No layering and I would like it cut so that it lays neatly. Can she do that for me...? She assured me that she could. I sat in the chair and she cut my hair. As she proceeded to begin blow drying it... I told her it was uneven. Clearly it was almost 2 inches shorter on the right than it was on the left... How could she not notice this...??? She said "Sorry" and started cutting again... When she was finished... Again it was uneven. She said she could fix it and just started cutting... A little here... A little there... I said... You're finished.." She said..."No, I can fix it". I said "No, I don't think you can". I got out of the chair and looked for the manager, I did not see him. Not wanting to make a scene I paid and left. When home I could clearly see just what a "HACK" job she had done. Hair that was waist level when I went in was in parts hacked off almost at my arm pit. I went somewhere else to get it trimmed evenly into a curve... Longest in back so that I would lose as little length as possible. Seriously... This girl is not... And I will emphasize NOT qualified to cut hair... I would not allow this person to groom a dog. The manager, when contacted by me, was not apologetic at all... Nor did he offer to give me any money back. He suggested that I come in and allow another of his butchers a crack at getting it right. I told him if I wanted hair as short as his... I wouldn't have let it grow so long. Truly HATE this place and what she did and will NEVER suggest to anyone that they should go there.
